Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Jaipur, focused on solar power projects with a design capacity of up to 100 Megawatts.

The Design

Engineer will create and refine detailed solar plant layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD tools, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting technical assessments, calculating load and capacity requirements, coordinating with mechanical and electrical teams, and preparing design documentation and BOMs. The role involves reviewing and optimizing system designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, supporting project execution teams with technical inputs, and collaborating with stakeholders to address design changes and site-specific constraints.

Qualifications

- Strong Design Engineering skills,



including experience in concept development, system design, and detailed engineering for solar projects.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of structural considerations, mounting systems, and thermal aspects of solar installations.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), specifically AutoCAD, for creating accurate layouts, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles related to solar plants, including PV string design, inverters, transformers, and grid integration.
- Experience in Product Design or system-level design for renewable energy solutions, focusing on reliability, safety, and performance.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in solar design engineering, preferably on projects approaching or exceeding 100 Megawatts in total capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
- Ability to interpret technical standards, codes, and client specifications; familiarity with relevant solar and electrical regulations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a protected, inclusive, and non-discriminatory work environment.
