As a Deputy Manager in our tax technology team focusing on automation of processes and compliances pertaining to direct taxes, youll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

1. Enhancement of the tax technology tools/ Building recent tools

2. Brainstorming on functional requirements/ enhancements, documenting the same in Business Requirement Document/ Functional Specification Document and discussing it with Business Analyst, Tax Technical team, Developers, etc. Preparation of Test Scenarios, Test data, etc.

3. Understanding the project requirements and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regular testing on software applications by self and with the help of team members test various test cases. Also, overseeing the testing conducted by team members and coordinating with developers for query resolutions.

4. Identifying and reporting bugs, errors, and defects in the system and communicate same to the developers in targeted timelines and tracking them to resolution.

5. Review of documentation including test plans, test cases, and testing documentation in accordance with project timelines and standards.



Ensure completeness from documentation perspective.

6. Timely updating seniors on progress on development

7. Timely review of the time cost tracker on a real-time basis, capturing the vitals of the ticket raised on systems and ensure targeted utilisation of team on projects.

8. Coordinating with internal stakeholders and enabling areas for on-the-job work requirements.

9. Provide ideas, innovative solutions to enhancement the tools and bring more automation in tax areas.

Desired qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience in Direct Taxation and possessing techno-functional skills

2. Strong Tax Technical Knowledge especially around Tax compliances and Tax Litigation

3. Experience on tax technology projects is must.

4. Working knowledge accounting/ ERP softwares such as SAP, Oracle, etc

5. Experience or certification on advanced Excel, Python, RPA, AI/ ML, Gen AI, Agentic AI would have an added advantage.
