- Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for database administration.
- Monitor database performance, identify performance problems and tune database server parameters.
- Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability within production environments and strong working knowledge on DB Crash recovery methodologies.
- Monitoring Database Instances and highlighting bottlenecks to Development Teams like slow running queries, CPU heavy queries, etc.
Skill set
- Knowledge on DBA, SQL Server and MySQL
- Good understanding of RDBMS security administration
- Knowledge on managing cloud Instances on AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of DB Client Tools like WorkBench,etc
- Should be ready to work on weekend and after-hours deployment tasks as and when required.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle changing priorities
