Roles & Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL and MongoDB instances in on-premises or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Manage replication, sharding, and clustering for scalability and redundancy.
- Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor database performance, capacity, and security using tools like Percona, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Tune SQL queries, indexes, and MongoDB aggregation pipelines for optimal performance.
- Implement and automate routine maintenance tasks (e.g., vacuuming, archiving, partitioning, compaction).
- Manage users, roles, privileges, and access policies ensuring data security and compliance.
- Schedule and execute regular health checks and performance audits.
- Handle incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) for database-related issues
- Support developers with schema design, indexing strategy, and query optimization.
- Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines or data replication to analytics systems.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (using Python, Bash, or Ansible).
- Participate in database design reviews and architectural discussions.
