Responsibilities
- Database Management:Oversee the administration and maintenance of the organization's databases
- Implement best practices for database design, development, and performance optimization
- Performance Monitoring and Tuning:Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal efficiency
- Conduct regular assessments to proactively address potential performance issues
- Security and Compliance:Implement and maintain robust database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing




- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies
- Backup and Recovery:Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime
- Conduct regular tests of backup and recovery procedures
- Database Upgrades and Patching:Plan and execute database upgrades and apply patches in a timely and coordinated manner
- Stay informed about the latest updates and advancements in database technologies
- Incident Response and Troubleshooting:Respond promptly to database-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues
- Capacity Planning:Perform capacity planning for database systems, anticipating future storage and performance requirements
