The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, automating Tableau workflows, and ensuring reliable data extraction and transformation. We are looking for an engineering-focused professional with hands-on Tableau REST API experience, rather than a dashboard-focused BI developer.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, validation, and automation.
- Automate Tableau operations using REST APIs, including workbook publishing, data source management, permissions, and scheduled refreshes.
- Integrate Python ETL workflows with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud using Tableau Server Client (TSC) and related APIs.
- Write SQL queries for data extraction and validation, while using Git for version control and Bash/shell scripting for automation.
- Troubleshoot pipeline and API integration issues, optimize data workflows, and collaborate with technical stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.

Requirements

- 4-7 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Python ETL development, or related technical roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python,



including ETL pipeline design, data transformation, and automation.
- Practical experience with Tableau REST API, including programmatic workbook publishing, data source management, permissions, and refresh operations.
- Strong SQL skills, along with experience using Git and Bash/shell scripting.
- An engineering-focused mindset with proven data pipeline and API automation experience. Tableau dashboard development or administration alone will not be sufficient.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with Tableau Hyper API and Metadata API.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and orchestration tools.
- Experience in the BFSI domain.
- Experience with Tableau Server Client (TSC).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
