Position: Cypress Automation Test Engineer

Experience: 6+ Years

Location: Trivandrum/Kochi/Chennai/Bangalore/Pune/Hyderabad

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cypress Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing, manual testing, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust test automation frameworks while ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
- Execute and support frontend and backend testing activities.
- Validate REST APIs using Cypress and/or Postman.
- Perform database validation and data verification using SQL queries.
- Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for issue resolution.
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in Cypress Automation Testing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience in REST API testing using Cypress or Postman.
- Solid knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control systems.
- Good understanding of SQL for database validation and testing.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools such as:
- Jenkins
- Azure DevOps
- GitHub Actions
- GitLab CI/CD

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Robust debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience in both Frontend and Backend Manual Testing.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Playwright Automation Testing.
- Experience working in the Retail Domain.
- Exposure to test framework design and automation best practices.
