Role Description The Cyber Security Architect will design, implement, and maintain secure architectures across applications, networks, and infrastructure to protect Explicit InfoSec’s clients from emerging cyber threats. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing existing environments, conducting threat modeling and risk assessments, defining security requirements, and creating reference architectures and patterns aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks. The role involves collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to integrate security into solution design, performing security reviews of new technologies,



and guiding secure configuration and hardening practices.

The Cyber Security

Architect will also contribute to security policies, standards, and best practices, support incident response and root cause analysis, and provide technical mentorship to other team members. This is a full-time remote role.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Security Architecture Design, including development of secure solution blueprints, reference architectures, and integration patterns.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Application Security, such as secure SDLC practices, code review, threat modeling, and remediation of application-level vulnerabilities.
- Candidates should possess deep knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security, including risk management, security controls, governance, compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and security policy development.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Network Security, including segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, zero-trust principles, and secure cloud networking.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SABSA/TOGAF with a security focus are highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code, and secure configuration management is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
