Job Summary

Abhasa Rehab & Wellness is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Counsellor to provide professional counselling and psychosocial support to clients undergoing mental health and rehabilitation treatment. The ideal candidate should have strong counselling skills, experience in client care, and the ability to coordinate with families and multidisciplinary clinical teams to support long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct individual counselling sessions and facilitate group counselling activities.
- Assess clients' psychosocial needs and contribute to personalised recovery plans.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to clients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Conduct family counselling sessions and maintain regular communication with family members.
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate counselling records and reports.
- Coordinate with psychologists, psychiatrists, case managers, and other clinical professionals.
- Support crisis management and follow appropriate escalation procedures within the scope of the role.
- Guide and support junior counselling staff, where required.




- Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and client dignity.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and treatment-planning discussions.

Eligibility Criteria
- M.S.W. in Medical & Psychiatry is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant counselling experience.
- Experience in mental health, de-addiction, or residential rehabilitation is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, professional, and client-centred approach.
