- As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will play a key role in providing specialized medical care to patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders

- Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Responsibilities

- Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and imaging studies

- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings

- Treatment Planning and Management:Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal disorders

- Prescribe medications, recommend lifestyle modifications, and coordinate surgical interventions when necessary

- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Procedural Skills:Perform endoscopic procedures,



including gastroscopies, colonoscopies, and other specialized interventions

- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterological procedures and technologies

- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:Work closely with surgeons, radiologists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care

- Participate in case conferences and consultations to discuss complex cases

- Education and Training:Provide education to medical staff, residents, and students on gastroenterological topics

- Stay updated on the latest research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field

- Quality Improvement:Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety

- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines

- Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
