About the Role

We are looking for a senior Asset Resolution professional with strong experience in distressed and stressed assets, NCLT/IBC matters, debt recovery, resolution planning and restructuring.

The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end resolution of complex stressed assets, evaluating recovery opportunities, reviewing resolution proposals and ensuring effective implementation of approved resolution strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead assessment and resolution of stressed and distressed assets across assigned portfolios.
- Evaluate the financial, legal, commercial and operational aspects of distressed assets and recommend appropriate resolution strategies.
- Develop and evaluate resolution, recovery, restructuring and settlement plans.
- Handle and oversee NCLT / IBC proceedings related to distressed assets and recovery.
- Coordinate with CoC, Resolution Professionals (RP), legal counsels, insolvency professionals, lenders, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Review Resolution Plans for commercial viability, feasibility, recovery potential, risks and implementation requirements.
- Monitor and drive implementation of approved Resolution Plans within agreed timelines.




- Identify opportunities for restructuring, settlement, recovery, sale, acquisition or monetisation of stressed assets.
- Conduct financial and legal due diligence and prepare detailed asset assessment and resolution reports for senior management.
- Represent/coordinate with CoC, RP and legal counsel before NCLTs.
- Negotiate with borrowers, lenders, investors, resolution applicants and other stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with applicable IBC, insolvency, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Provide strategic inputs on distressed asset acquisition, resolution, recovery and monetisation.
- Monitor portfolio performance, recovery progress and key milestones and provide regular management updates.
- Lead and mentor the asset resolution team and ensure effective execution of assigned portfolios.

Candidate Profile

- CA + LLB or CS + LLB – Mandatory
- 10–20 years of relevant experience in Asset Resolution, Distressed Assets, Debt Recovery, Insolvency, Restructuring or related areas.
- Strong hands-on experience in stressed/distressed asset assessment and resolution.
- Proven exposure to NCLT, IBC and insolvency resolution processes.
- Strong understanding of Resolution Plans and their implementation.
- Experience handling complex financial, legal and commercial aspects of stressed assets.
- Experience working with NBFCs, Banks, ARCs, Financial Institutions, Distressed Asset Funds/Platforms or similar organisations will be preferred.
- Solid negotiation, analytical, commercial, decision-making and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage high-value and complex distressed asset cases.
- Prior team management experience will be an advantage.
