Apple Mechanical

Enclosures team is looking for a Commercial Global Supply Manager to build competitiveness in our supply chain using manufacturing acumen, leveraging Government policies to boost mobile phone and phone component manufacturing strategic initiatives and drive total cost of ownership reduction across MD supply chain in India.

Apple GSMs own the supply chain, commercials and relationship with our Contract Manufacturing partners and are responsible for building a competitive supply chain, relationship management with CMs and local stakeholders, supply operations, risk management, driving operational and cost efficiencies through process or design change, cost negotiations and overall project execution. GSMs sit at the intersection of Apples business activities and engineering communities, and effectively balance the needs of both groups to ensure successful product launches. GSMs work in concert with operations, supply quality,



and supply base engineers as well as Apple's Product Design and Industrial Design teams.

Together, these teams execute and scale both new and existing manufacturing processes, materials, technologies, finishes and form factors.

Responsibilities

- Engage Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to strategically leverage large-scale Government electronics manufacturing promotion policies, driving a competitive mobile device and component supply chain
- Lead CM partners in identifying and realising the full benefits of Government policy initiatives to strengthen Apple s supply chain operations in India
- Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and establish price benchmarks against best-in-class industry standards
- Cultivate long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers while preserving Apple s commercial leverage and negotiating position
- Serve as the primary commercial interface with Mechanical Design (MD) suppliers in India, leading cost reduction initiatives and commercial negotiations
- Prepare and present executive-level summaries to leadership covering commercial performance, risks, and opportunities
- Support commercial engagement with CMs encompassing capital cost planning and component part pricing
- Maintain a comprehensive commercial database to track and manage the savings pipeline
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Apple to align on commercial strategies and deliverables
- Support supply chain diversification efforts across equipment and component categories to improve resilience and competitiveness
