Key Responsibilities & Duties

- - Patient Care: Manage inpatient wards, emergency trauma cases, and daily rounds under the guidance of consultant orthopaedic surgeons.

- Surgical Duties: Assist in major elective and emergency surgeries (joint replacements, spine, trauma fixations) and perform minor/moderate procedures independently.

- Emergency & On-Call: Handle orthopedic emergencies, acute trauma management, and participate actively in the on-call rota.

- Academics & Teaching: Teach and supervise Junior Residents (JRs) and undergraduate medical students; participate in departmental audits, journal clubs, and case presentations.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely medical records, operative notes, and discharge summaries to ensure legal protection and continuity of care.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- - Degree: Post-graduate medical degree (MS/DNB) in Orthopaedics from a recognized institution.

- Registration: Valid medical council registration to practice as a specialist.
