About the Role

We are looking for a Children’s Book Illustrator with solid experience in children’s books and children’s publishing who share our vision of creating engaging, meaningful, and faith-based books for children rooted in Hindu traditions and devotion.

Strong storytelling skills and ability to create warm, engaging illustrations for children’s books.

You will work on books from idea to final execution — designing , editing, refining, and collaborating with the team throughout the process.

Job Responsibilities:

- Create original illustrations for children’s books including characters, scenes, and visual storytelling elements
- Develop expressive character designs that connect emotionally with young readers
- Collaborate with authors, editors, and creative teams to bring stories to life
- Maintain visual consistency across pages and follow art direction guidelines
- Prepare artwork for print and digital publishing formats
- Revise illustrations based on feedback and project requirements
- Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high artistic quality
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance storytelling and visual appeal
- Organize files and artwork for smooth production workflow
- Stay updated with illustration trends and children’s publishing standards

Skills Required:

- Strong portfolio in children’s book illustration or similar storytelling work
- Excellent drawing, composition, and color skills
- Proficiency in digital illustration tools (Photoshop, Procreate, Illustrator, etc.)
- Good understanding of visual narrative and pacing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Collaborate, don't work in isolation You will work closely with:

● Authors and writers

● Product and publishing teams

● Editors and reviewers

● Researchers and subject experts, where relevant The expectation is that you will discuss, question, explain, review, and iterate rather than simply complete your part and hand it over.

A successful book is a shared outcome of content, design, illustration, and product thinking.

What We Are Looking ForMust have





● 8–10 years of professional experience specifically in children’s books, children’s publishing, or closely related children-focused content.

● Strong experience in making Illustrations for children across different formats and age groups.

● Strong designing & storytelling ability with a clear understanding of narrative structure.

● A strong understanding of child development, age-appropriate designs, and child behavior.

● Exceptional attention to detail.

● Experience working closely with designers, Authors , and publishing teams.

● Ability to take an initial idea or brief and develop it into robust, structured content independently.

● Ability to receive feedback, critique work objectively, and iterate quickly.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strongly preferred

● Experience working across storybooks, activity books, religious books, nonfiction, or interactive children’s formats.

● Experience creating content for different age groups rather than working only in one format.

● Familiarity with print publishing and the practical realities of taking a book from manuscript to final production.

● Understanding of how visual storytelling and page design influence how a child reads and experiences a book.

● Experience collaborating on books from concept to final artwork.

Instead you will be expected to think through:

Idea → Content → Story/Structure → Visual Communication → Design Collaboration → Review → Refinement → Final Book

- Turn historical references, photographs and descriptions into compelling artwork
- Experiment with different illustration styles while maintaining a consistent visual quality
- Develop expressive characters, clothing, poses, backgrounds and environments
- Take feedback and refine artwork through multiple iterations

Our broader goal is to build a collection of children's books that nurture Hindu devotion, introduce children to our sacred stories, and help them develop a loving relationship with God from an early age.

Success in This Role

Success means creating books where the content is accurate, beautifully written, age-appropriate, engaging, and seamlessly integrated with the visual experience.

The final book should never feel like content created first and design added later.

It should feel like one thoughtfully crafted experience for the child.

Work Environment

- We provide holidays on national holidays and festivals as per company rules.
- This is a High Salary Job.
- This is not a part time job, please apply only if you want to work in the publishing industry, children's book publishing for very long term.

Job Timings: Mon-Sat, 10am-7pm. ( Working hours are normal Day Shift only). High salary (Take home salary of 35000-45000 per month + yearly increments, Overtime payment and incentives)
