About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished, execution-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead end-to-end operations, business performance, and expansion across our hospital and student housing/co-living businesses.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned business operator with experience managing large-scale operations, owning business P&L;, building operating capabilities from the ground up, and translating ambitious growth strategies into measurable results.

The mandate is to drive 2X revenue growth over three years, strengthen operational excellence across both businesses, improve profitability, and establish scalable systems that support sustainable expansion. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with a hands-on operating approach and thrives in environments demanding speed, accountability, and disciplined execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Enterprise Leadership & Execution

- Lead end-to-end operations across hospital and residential accommodation businesses, ensuring alignment between business strategy, operational priorities, and financial objectives.
- Translate growth plans into actionable operating roadmaps, budgets, milestones, and measurable KPIs.
- Drive daily operational execution, weekly performance reviews, and monthly business reviews to ensure timely delivery of critical initiatives.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, cross-functional dependencies, resource constraints, and execution gaps.
- Build a high-accountability culture with clear ownership, performance tracking, and timely corrective action across functions.

Hospital Operations & P&L; Management

- Drive hospital operational performance, revenue growth, profitability, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with clinical leadership to strengthen patient care quality, patient safety, clinical service delivery, and regulatory compliance.
- Improve bed occupancy, patient flow, turnaround times,



resource productivity, and service-line performance.
- Identify opportunities for specialty expansion, service optimization, and improved hospital unit economics.
- Establish robust SOPs, quality assurance systems, operational dashboards, and governance mechanisms across hospital functions.

Student Housing, Residential & Co-Living Expansion

- Lead the delivery of 1,000 additional beds in the first year, within approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards, while achieving 90% occupancy.
- Own the end-to-end expansion cycle, including site feasibility, capacity planning, project coordination, property readiness, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Drive occupancy, pricing strategy, revenue per bed, resident retention, and property-level profitability.
- Establish consistent operating standards across housekeeping, food services, security, maintenance, and resident support.
- Develop and scale co-living offerings for working professionals through location strategy, market assessment, pricing, room configurations, and sales-channel development.
- Build institutional and corporate partnerships to strengthen demand generation and occupancy across the accommodation portfolio.

Financial Performance & Business Growth

- Exercise direct P&L; ownership across business operations, with accountability for revenue, EBITDA, operating margins, budgets, and cost optimization.
- Drive the three-year revenue-doubling mandate through capacity expansion, improved asset utilization, operational efficiencies, and new growth opportunities.
- Develop financial forecasts, business plans, performance dashboards, and corrective-action plans to improve operating results.
- Strengthen procurement, vendor management,



resource allocation, and working-capital efficiency.
- Build scalable operating systems, standardize processes, and institutionalize continuous improvement across locations.

Candidate Profile:

- Experience: 15–20 years of progressive leadership experience in end-to-end operations across healthcare, hospitality, student housing, co-living, or allied service businesses.
- Business Scale: Demonstrated experience managing a business or business unit with annual revenues of Rupees 100 crore or above.
- Growth Track Record: Proven ability to scale operations, drive significant revenue growth, improve business performance, and deliver measurable outcomes within demanding timelines.
- P&L; Leadership: Direct accountability for business financials, including revenue, EBITDA, budgeting, operating margins, and cost management.
- Ground-Up Execution: Experience establishing and scaling operations from inception, with a solid bias for action and the ability to personally resolve critical operational challenges.
- Multi-Unit Leadership: Experience managing multiple locations, large teams, cross-functional operations, and capacity-expansion initiatives.
- Quality Orientation: Strong focus on service excellence, patient/resident experience, operational standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Education: Postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Hospital Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
