Role Description The Banquet Supervisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Banquet

Supervisor oversees the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring that function spaces, equipment, and service areas meet brand standards and event requirements. This role coordinates with the banquet team, kitchen, and other departments to manage timelines, staff assignments, and service quality throughout events.

Supervisor monitors guest interactions during functions, addresses special requests or issues promptly,



and supports efforts to maximize guest satisfaction and repeat business. The role also includes maintaining inventory of banquet supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards, and assisting with training and mentoring banquet staff.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Candidates should possess Food Service skills, including knowledge of banquet service styles, menu presentation, and basic F&B; operations.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with the ability to respond to guest needs and resolve issues effectively.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interaction with guests, team members, and management.
- Experience in hotel banqueting or food and beverage operations, preferably in an upscale or luxury setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in event execution.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Knowledge of basic safety, hygiene, and compliance standards in hospitality; formal hospitality education or certification is an advantage.
