Position: Azure Senior Specialist – Microsoft Fabric

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Senior Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure data engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing modern data platforms while driving automation, security, governance, and DevSecOps best practices.

The candidate should have strong technical leadership skills, experience managing engineering teams, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate Microsoft Fabric and Azure data workloads.
- Develop and manage Lakehouses, Warehouses, SQL endpoints, and medallion architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
- Build data ingestion and orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks using PySpark and Spark SQL.
- Implement real-time data processing solutions using Eventstream, Eventhouse, KQL, dashboards, and alerts.
- Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models using Direct Lake, Import, and Composite models, including DAX, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Object-Level Security (OLS).
- Execute data platform migrations from Azure Synapse Analytics, ADF, SSIS, and Databricks to modern data architectures.
- Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Microsoft Fabric REST APIs.




- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, security automation, governance, and compliance controls.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and optimize cloud costs.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, manage engineering pods, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data engineering services.
- Expertise in Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, SQL analytics endpoints, and medallion architecture.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- Knowledge of real-time analytics using Eventstream, Eventhouse, and KQL.
- Strong Power BI expertise, including semantic modeling, DAX, Direct Lake, RLS, and OLS.
- Experience with data platform migrations involving Synapse, ADF, SSIS, and Databricks.
- Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Robust knowledge of Terraform/Bicep and Infrastructure as Code.
- Expertise in Spark performance tuning, SQL optimization,



and workload optimization.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, governance, and DevSecOps.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and cost optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Fabric certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale data engineering and analytics solutions.
