Position Overview

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with robust expertise in Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and enterprise CI/CD automation. In this role, you will own the Azure Kubernetes Service platform, manage cloud application gateways and ingress routing, drive build and deployment standards, and ensure high availability and security across production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- AKS Platform Ownership &
- Kubernetes Management
- Design, provision, maintain, and lifecycle-manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including node pools, autoscaling policies, upgrades, and disaster recovery/backup-restore procedures.
- Build &
- Deploy Infrastructure (CI/CD &
- GitOps)
- Own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Standardize Helm charts and artifact management, implementing modern GitOps practices using Argo CD or Flux.

- Azure Application Gateway (WAF) &
- Ingress Management

- Configure and maintain Azure Application Gateway with Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Integrate AGIC (Application Gateway Ingress Controller) with AKS for Layer 7 routing, SSL/TLS termination, and automated certificate management via Azure Key Vault.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

- Author, test, and maintain modular Terraform scripts for provisioned Azure resources, including AKS, Application Gateway, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and networking stack.
- Enforce reusability, versioning, and policy-driven continuous delivery.

- Container Platform Governance &
- Standards





- Establish and enforce container governance: namespace architecture, resource quotas, HPA, Cluster Autoscaler, Pod Disruption Budgets (PDBs), and base image security scanning.

- Release Strategies &
- Site Reliability

- Execute blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies with fail-safe rollback mechanisms to guarantee minimal disruption and maximum uptime.

- L3 Incident Management &
- Troubleshooting

- Provide top-tier (L3) engineering support for AKS cluster issues, ingress/egress network flows, deployment pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks.

- Architecture, Documentation &
- Collaboration

- Partner with application development teams to facilitate smooth workload onboarding to AKS.
- Document system architectures, produce operational runbooks, and mentor junior/mid-level engineers on Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code best practices.

Required Qualifications &

- Experience

- Experience: 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure Administration, with a heavy emphasis on Azure.
- Kubernetes Expertise: Proven experience operating production-grade AKS clusters, CNI networking, Helm, and GitOps workflows (Argo CD / Flux).
- IaC &
- Automation: Proficient in enterprise-grade Terraform module development and Azure CLI/PowerShell scripting.
- Networking &
- Security: Deep knowledge of Azure Application Gateway, WAF policies, AGIC, Azure Key Vault integration, VNet peering, and private endpoints.
- CI/CD Tools: Mastery of Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, Docker image lifecycle, and container registry security.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
