- Responsible for startup, shutdown and smooth, efficient and safe running of plant and to maximize quality product and control of raw material consumption as per norms.
- To organize and administer the manpower required in the shift.
- To check analysis reports received from quality control lab and ensure corrective action.
- To ensure raw material feeders are calibrated by instrument department periodically.
- To coordinate with RMS in-charge and ensure reprocessing of the product from bagging, other areas and to ensure quality of the final products.
- To ensure the raw material feeding system ok for feeding raw material.
- To issue cold work permits for the jobs in the shift.
- To prepare and update shut down job list and follow the jobs with maintenance.
- To raise maintenance work order and follow up maintenance jobs in the shift.
- Responsible for safety of man,
machine and materials of the plants.
- Directing, guiding, motivating and facilitating training of subordinate worker under me.
- Taking all necessary steps to minimize the wastage and increasing specific consumption without compromising with the quality of the product.
- Handles fire extinguishers in emergencies.
- Uses positive judgment in caring for his area.
- Trains or directs the training of the unit personnel in safety or operating procedures.
- Responsible for smooth operation of plants to meet the budgeted target of the production.
- Responsible for producing quality fertilizer meeting FCO norms.
Responsible for prevention of environmental pollution while operating plants.
