The role
You will own hiring end to end and keep day-to-day HR running cleanly from our Mumbai office. Roughly half your time goes to talent acquisition, half to HR operations.
Our hiring is high-volume and remote-first: instructors in four countries on different engagement models, plus in-office roles in Mumbai. You will build the pipelines, run the process, and keep every employee record, policy and payroll input accurate and audit-ready.
Responsibilities — talent acquisition
- Run full-cycle hiring for all roles: instructors (full-time and per-session), student counsellors, sales, tech, marketing and operations.
- Build and maintain a steady instructor pipeline across India, the Philippines, Egypt and Pakistan, ahead of demand rather than in response to it.
- Work with hiring managers to define roles, write JDs and set screening criteria.
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, campus outreach and agency partners; manage agency relationships.
- Screen CVs, run first-round calls, and coordinate assessments, demo classes and interview panels.
- Manage vacancies and application forms in our in-house HRMS recruitment module and keep the careers page current.
- Own the candidate experience: timely updates, clear offers, no candidate left without a response.
- Prepare offer letters and negotiate within approved bands; close candidates and hand them over to onboarding.
- Track and report hiring metrics weekly: time-to-hire, offer-acceptance rate, source effectiveness, open-position ageing.
Responsibilities — HR operations
- Onboarding and exits: run onboarding for current joiners (documents, agreements, system access, induction) and exits (clearance, full-and-final inputs, exit interviews).
- Records and HRMS: maintain complete, accurate employee records in our in-house HRMS; help roll out and test new HRMS modules with the tech team.
- Payroll inputs: compile monthly attendance, leave, session counts and policy deductions for instructors and staff, and hand clean inputs to Finance before month-end cutoff. Instructors are paid in INR (India) and USD (international).
- Policy administration: apply and track adherence to HR policies, including the instructor attendance and penalty policy; draft and update policies and the employee handbook with the HR Manager.
- Compliance (India staff): PF, ESIC, Maharashtra Professional Tax, gratuity, Shops & Establishments, and POSH (including Internal Committee support), working with external consultants where needed.
- Documentation: issue offer letters, agreements, confirmation, increment, experience and relieving letters; keep files audit-ready.
- Employee lifecycle: probation reviews and confirmations, performance-cycle coordination, grievance handling and first-line employee relations.
- Engagement: run office engagement and recognition for the Mumbai team and keep remote staff included.
- Reporting: monthly HR dashboard covering headcount, attrition, hiring and compliance status.
Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
