A. Position Summary: The person will be Responsible for the overall monthly closing of books in Oracle and the preparation of financial statements as per IRDA regulations and assist in statutory audits and analytics of financial statements.

Book closure and preparation of financial statements
- Responsible for ensuring timely closure of books of accounts as per closing calendar
- Responsible for preparation and presentation of financial statements on monthly basis for internal circulation
Review, monitoring and reporting
- Assisting in management reporting and other regulatory reporting
- Review of general ledger and other financial data on monthly basis
- Assisting AVP-Corp Accounting in implementing best practices in quality of disclosures in financial statements Statutory Audit

C. Qualification and Experience Level:
- CA Inter or Graduate/Post graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance with relevant experience in core accounting team in an Insurance Company or Service industry.
- Overall 10 years of experience in core accounting function, out of which 5-6 years in Insurance Industry would be desired.
- Should have had exposure to handling large volume transactions. Data base management skills would be an added advantage.
D. Key Skills: Technical Skills :-
- Knowledge about tools such as Excel, Access, etc
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and audit processes a must
- Exposure to planning and analysis roles is desirable
- Valuable communication and articulation skills in English are a must
