Role Description The Captain at Anaganaga - Telugu Culinary Tales is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the dining area and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming and seating guests, managing table allocations and reservations, coordinating with service staff and the kitchen, and supervising order taking and timely service. The Captain monitors guest satisfaction, handles special requests and service recovery, and ensures adherence to hygiene, safety, and service standards.

The role also involves training and mentoring team members,



supporting daily briefings, and assisting with billing, closing duties, and reporting to the restaurant management.

Qualifications

- Solid guest service and hospitality skills, with the ability to manage guest relationships and address concerns professionally.
- Experience in supervising restaurant floor operations, including table management, order coordination, and team oversight.
- Good communication skills in English and local languages, with clear, respectful interaction with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards; familiarity with regional or Telugu cuisine is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain composure during peak hours.
- Basic POS, billing, and cash-handling skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience as a Captain, Head Waiter, or similar role in hospitality preferred; formal hospitality training or certification is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
