About the Role

We are looking for a confident and service-oriented Restaurant Captain to join a premium fine-dining restaurant in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have strong guest-handling skills, a thorough understanding of restaurant service standards, and the ability to deliver a seamless, personalised dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily floor operations and ensure smooth restaurant service.
- Lead and coordinate the service team during shifts.
- Welcome guests, manage seating, and ensure attentive and personalised service.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations to guests.
- Maintain high standards of service etiquette, table setup, and presentation.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and service-related concerns professionally.
- Monitor table turnover, reservations, and service flow.
- Ensure compliance with restaurant SOPs, hygiene standards,



and grooming guidelines.
- Assist with staff briefings, training, and maintaining service quality.

Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in premium casual dining or fine dining.
- Previous experience as a Captain, Senior Steward, or equivalent front-of-house role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage service during busy periods.
- Professional grooming, a positive attitude, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of menu presentation, upselling, and suggestive selling.
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant service procedures is preferred.
