Ozark & Co. is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper with knowledge of UK accounting practices to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT, and financial record management.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Bookkeeper responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day accounting transactions, and supporting UK accounting operations. The candidate should be organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries.
- Record and process sales and purchase invoices.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns.
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
- Maintain general ledger records and assist with month-end procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK accounting and VAT requirements.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve routine accounting issues.




- Maintain proper documentation and financial records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Knowledge of UK bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Understanding of VAT, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools.
- Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

- Previous experience in UK bookkeeping or UK accounting.
- Experience handling VAT returns and reconciliations.
- Experience working with UK-based clients or accounting firms.
