The Bio-Engineering Specialist will provide technicalexpertise in the planning, design, and implementation of bio-engineering andnature-based engineering solutions to reduce landslide and erosion risks inhilly and geologically sensitive terrain, supporting long-term slope stabilityand resilience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility for technical planning, designsupport, and supervision of bio-engineering techniques for slope stabilizationand erosion control.
- Analyse site conditions, including slope geometry,



soilcharacteristics, and drainage patterns, to determine suitable bio-engineeringinterventions in combination with structural measures.
- Provide technical guidance during field implementation toensure correct application, stability, and long-term performance ofbio-engineering works.

Educational Qualifications:

- Masters in Forestry/Bioengineering/Related Subjects.

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of relevant skilled experience in thefield.
- Experience of working on at least one externally fundedproject (such as ADB, AFD, WBG, etc.)
- Prior work experience across Himalayan regions with exposureto multiple hazards in India, Nepal, Bhutan etc.
