Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced and detail oriented Assistant Manager – QMS to oversee, lead, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System at Sealmatic India Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable international quality standards, customer requirements, statutory regulations, and internal quality procedures while driving process excellence and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Experience Required:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Qualification:

BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

Job Duties:

- To implement, maintain, monitor, and continually improve the Quality Management System in accordance with applicable API Q1, ATEX, ISO standards and other relevant industry requirements.
- To coordinate and conduct internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.
- To ensure compliance with API Q1, ATEX, ISO 19443, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 29001, and other applicable standards, as relevant to the organisation.
- To identify, analyse, and investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- To prepare, review, control, and maintain quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, records, and other QMS documentation.
- To analyse quality performance data, identify trends, prepare reports, and recommend improvement measures to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- To coordinate with various departments to ensure effective implementation of quality objectives, risk management, process controls, and continual improvement initiatives.




- To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of established quality processes and ensure adherence to defined standards and procedures.
- To conduct quality awareness and training programmes for employees and promote a culture of quality throughout the organisation.
- To coordinate management review meetings, monitor action plans, and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
- To support supplier quality management, customer complaint resolution, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- To maintain skilled and technical knowledge by reviewing updated standards, attending training programmes, benchmarking industry practices, and staying informed about developments in quality management.

Skills:

- BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), preferably in a manufacturing or high-precision engineering industry.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 29001, API Q1, and other applicable quality standards.
- Experience in QMS implementation, documentation, internal and external audits, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continual improvement.
- Knowledge of industry-specific certifications and regulatory requirements, including PED, ATEX, and other applicable standards, will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
