Application Developer – Calypso Developer (M4)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer with strong expertise in Capital Markets, Trade Lifecycle Management, and Calypso platform development. The role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Calypso applications and integrations while ensuring scalability, stability, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Calypso Development & Solutioning

- Develop and customize Calypso using Java/J2EE, Calypso APIs, workflows, engines, and scheduled tasks.
- Deliver enhancements, upgrades, and migrations across the Calypso platform.
- Support end-to-end trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, settlements, collateral, risk, and accounting.

Integration & Platform Engineering

- Build and support integrations with Treasury, Risk, Finance, SWIFT, Market Data, and Core Banking systems.
- Develop API, middleware, and messaging-based integrations using REST/SOAP, MQ, Kafka, or TIBCO.
- Implement robust error handling, monitoring, and resiliency frameworks.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and regulatory requirements.




- Maintain technical documentation, access controls, and data protection standards.
- Support regulatory, audit, and control functions.

Observability & DevOps

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and production support frameworks.
- Drive CI/CD, deployment automation, performance optimization, and operational stability.
- Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Splunk, and AppDynamics.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in Calypso Development.
- Robust programming skills in Java/J2EE and SQL.
- Knowledge of Capital Markets products (FX, Fixed Income, Money Markets, Derivatives, Repo).
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, Messaging Systems, and Enterprise Integrations.
- Strong understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle and post-trade processing.
- Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Calypso implementation, migration, or upgrade programs.
- Exposure to SWIFT MT/MX messaging, Risk, Treasury, and Accounting integrations.
- Experience in regulated banking or financial services environments.
