Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai, India. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling bank and account balances, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The role will involve assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, as well as preparing reports for management and supporting internal and external audits. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements, and help improve financial controls and reporting processes.

Qualifications

- Robust foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.




- Proficiency with accounting software and Tally systems, as well as solid skills in MS Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards
- Ability to analyze financial data, perform variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification is an asset.
- Experience in manufacturing, life sciences, or related industries is beneficial, along with a commitment to ethical financial practices.
