ABOUT CONTRAVAULT AI
Tenders and RFPs often run to hundreds of pages, and a single overlooked clause can turn a winning bid into a costly one. ContraVault AI is an AI-powered platform that transforms how organisations manage the end-to-end tender and RFP analysis process, from intelligent tender review, risk analysis, and synopsis generation to contradiction detection and strategic bid decision support.
Built specifically for complex tender workflows, our contextual AI extracts and interprets critical information from both scanned and digital PDFs. Teams use ContraVault AI to uncover hidden risks, navigate non-standard clauses, and make accurate, real-time Go/No-Go decisions. The result is faster evaluation, stronger compliance, higher-quality submissions, and more confident bidding.
THE ROLE
As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle for ContraVault AI: from the first discovery call with a bid manager to a signed contract with their leadership. You will run demos, build the business case, navigate procurement and security reviews, and close deals with companies whose revenue depends on winning tenders.
This is a quota-carrying role with real ownership. You will manage your own pipeline, forecast it honestly, and be measured on new annual recurring revenue. You will also help define how ContraVault AI sells, because the playbook is still being written and you will write part of it.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Run the full sales cycle. Take qualified meetings from the SDR team and inbound channels, run structured discovery, deliver tailored demos, and drive each opportunity through evaluation, commercial negotiation, and signature.
- Sell to the people who own the bid. Build relationships with bid managers, pre-sales and proposal heads, procurement leaders, and the CXOs who sign off, across construction, infrastructure, engineering, EPC, IT services, and consulting firms.
- Build the business case. Quantify what a missed clause, a late submission, or a wrong Go/No-Go call costs each prospect,
and turn that into a proposal their finance team will approve.
- Run pilots that convert. Scope proof-of-concept and pilot engagements with transparent success criteria, work with Customer Success to deliver them, and convert them into multi-year contracts.
- Navigate enterprise buying. Handle security questionnaires, legal review, vendor onboarding, and procurement processes, bringing in the right people internally at the right time.
- Own your number. Keep an accurate pipeline in HubSpot or an equivalent CRM, forecast weekly, and hit quarterly targets for new ARR. Source a portion of your own pipeline alongside what the SDR team provides.
- Set up customers to succeed. Hand over closed accounts to Customer Success with a clear picture of what was promised, who the stakeholders are, and what success looks like for them.
- Shape the playbook. Feed objections, competitor intelligence, pricing feedback, and winning messages back to Marketing, Product, and the founders, and help build the sales process the next hires will follow.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience: 3–6 years in B2B software sales with at least two years as a quota-carrying closer, ideally selling SaaS to mid-market or enterprise buyers with multi-stakeholder deal cycles.
- Track record: Consistent quota attainment you can walk through deal by deal, including deals you sourced yourself.
- Education: A degree in business, engineering, management, or a related field.
- Discovery and demo skills: You ask questions that uncover the real cost of a problem, and you can run a product demo that answers those questions rather than touring features.
- Commercial judgement: Comfortable building a business case, structuring pricing, and negotiating contracts with procurement and legal teams.
- Communication:
Excellent spoken and written English, with the presence to hold a room of senior stakeholders and the clarity to write a one-page proposal they will read.
- Tech fluency: Able to learn a technical AI product deeply enough to demo it credibly, and genuinely curious about how enterprises evaluate and buy AI software.
- Ownership: You run your own pipeline without being managed day to day, forecast honestly, and treat a lost deal as something to learn from.
- Location, shift, and pace: Willing to work on-site in Bengaluru on a US shift, travel to customers when needed, and comfortable moving at startup pace, where priorities shift and you shape your own role.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience selling to construction, infrastructure, engineering, EPC, IT services, or government-facing buyers.
- Familiarity with tenders, RFPs, bid management, or procurement processes, or a background in a bid or proposal team.
- Experience selling a product that required a pilot or proof of concept before purchase.
- Early-stage startup experience, where you were one of the first sales hires.
- Proficiency in Hindi or another Indian language for conversations with regional accounts.
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
- Ownership of your own book of business at an early-stage AI company, with every closed deal visible to the founders.
- A ground-floor seat in a growing sales team, with a clear path to senior and leadership roles as the team expands.
- Direct influence on pricing, positioning, and the sales playbook, working closely with the founders.
- Deep exposure to how an AI SaaS product is built, sold, and supported.
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission on new ARR, and the benefits of a full-time role at a fast-growing startup.
