Position: PDF Annotation & Transcription Experts – Telugu
Type: Contract
Compensation: $10–$11/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

- Evaluate and confirm the legibility and content of provided Telugu PDF pages. Ensure no personal details are present.
- Annotate structure by identifying and bounding every meaningful region such as document titles, sections, and tables.
- Record relationships by linking each region to its parent component, like figures or tables.
- Transcribe text faithfully in Telugu script, including handwritten content. Flag any illegible regions.
- Capture page metadata including language, document type, and page dimensions.
- Review a colleague's work as a second Telugu expert to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- Native fluency in Telugu with full command of the script.




- Experience in document annotation, transcription, or related fields.
- High attention to detail with character-level accuracy.
- Systematic approach to applying taxonomy across documents.
- Comfort with complex layouts such as multi-column newspapers and handwritten forms.

Preferred

- Experience in regional-language AI data annotation and bilingual evaluation.
- Skills in transcription, localization, and OCR correction.
- Knowledge of document production and Unicode normalization.
