Profile - Manager Logistics

Qualification -Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field. /Additional certification in Supply Chain, International Trade, or Logistics Management will be preferred.

Experience - Min 8–12 years of experience in logistics, export-import operations, and freight forwarding. Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing a team of 7–8 members. Experience in manufacturing, recycling, industrial, or export-oriented organizations preferred.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Logistics Manager to lead and manage a team of 7–8 logistics professionals. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in export-import operations, freight forwarding, customs documentation, shipping line coordination, and regulatory compliance. The role requires end-to-end management of domestic and international logistics activities while ensuring timely dispatches, cost optimization, and compliance with applicable trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

Lead, mentor, and manage a logistics team of 7–8 members.

Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.

Develop SOPs and ensure process compliance across logistics operations.

Export & Import Operations

Manage complete export and import logistics processes.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of export/import documentation.

Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.

Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time deliveries.

Documentation & Compliance





Handle and verify all export-import documents including

o Commercial Invoice

o Packing List

o Bill of Lading (BL)

o Airway Bill (AWB)

o Shipping Bill

o Certificate of Origin

o Insurance Documents

o Letter of Credit (LC) documentation

Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements.

DGFT & Government Portals

Manage activities related to DGFT regulations and licenses.

Handle applications and compliance related to export incentive schemes.

Maintain records and documentation as per regulatory requirements.

Coordinate for IEC, RCMC, Advance Authorization, EPCG, and other trade-related approvals.

ICEGATE & Customs Coordination

Working knowledge of ICEGATE portal for filing, tracking, and compliance activities.

Coordinate with CHA for customs clearance and shipment processing.

Resolve customs-related issues and ensure smooth cargo movement.

FTA & Trade Compliance

Evaluate and utilize Free Trade Agreements (FTA) for duty benefits.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance to claim FTA benefits.

Stay updated with changes in international trade regulations and policies.

Freight Forwarding & Shipping Line Management

Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transport vendors.

Negotiate freight rates and service contracts.



 Optimize transportation costs while maintaining service quality.

Monitor shipment tracking and freight performance.

MIS & Cost Control

Prepare logistics MIS reports and shipment dashboards.

Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Ensure accuracy of freight invoices and vendor payments.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Export & Import Documentation.

Expertise in Freight Forwarding and International Logistics.

Hands-on experience with ICEGATE and DGFT portals.

Good understanding of FTA (Free Trade Agreements) and international trade regulations.

Strong coordination skills with Shipping Lines, CHA, Freight Forwarders, and Customs Authorities.

Vendor management and freight negotiation skills.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and logistics reporting tools.
