ob Purpose

To lead and manage overall production operations of the gear manufacturing plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall production activities of the gear manufacturing plant, including soft machining and hard machining operations.
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to achieve production targets.
- Handle gear manufacturing processes such as hobbing, shaping, shaving, grinding, turning, and heat treatment coordination.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and resources.
- Monitor production KPIs such as OEE, productivity, rejection, PPM, cycle time, and downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and Six Sigma.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Tool Room, and Purchase departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to customer quality requirements and automotive quality standards.
- Reduce manufacturing costs, scrap, rework, and machine downtime.
- Lead and develop production managers, engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor teams.
- Implement process improvements and capacity enhancement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and plant operating procedures.





Educational Qualification

- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

Experience & Technical Requirements

- 12–18 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or gear manufacturing.
- Strong experience in gear manufacturing processes, preferably both soft and hard stages.
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC machines, gear cutting, gear grinding, and machining processes.
- Experience in production planning, manpower management, and shop-floor operations.
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, and automotive quality systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience working in an automotive OEM or Tier-1 / Tier-2 auto component manufacturing company.
- Proven track record of achieving production targets and improving productivity.
- Strong team management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume manufacturing operations and meet customer delivery commitments.

Pay: ₹2,200,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
