Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Support Manager / EDP Manager to manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, ERP systems, networking, hardware, software, and information security. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations across the spinning mill, supporting office and production-related systems, minimizing downtime, and providing effective technical support to all departments.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, team management abilities, and preferably experience working in a textile manufacturing setting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure Management

- Manage and maintain servers, desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure reliable operation of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network switches.
- Monitor server performance, storage, system availability, and IT infrastructure health.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, warranties, and AMC contracts.
- Coordinate with internet service providers and external IT vendors.

2. ERP and Application Support

- Manage and provide support for the organization's ERP and business applications.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors for issue resolution, upgrades, customization, and implementation.
- Support departments such as Production, Stores, Purchase, Sales, Accounts, HR, and Maintenance.
- Ensure smooth functioning of ERP transactions and accurate data flow between departments.
- Support production-related reporting, MIS, and management information systems.

3. Spinning Mill Operations Support

- Provide IT support for production reporting, inventory management, raw material tracking, yarn stock, dispatch, and quality-related systems.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to support computer-based monitoring and reporting systems.
- Ensure reliable connectivity for systems used in the mill, warehouse, laboratory, and administrative offices.




- Coordinate with machinery automation or instrumentation vendors whenever IT/network integration is required.
- Minimize IT-related disruptions affecting production and business operations.

4. IT Security and Data Protection

- Implement and maintain antivirus, endpoint security, firewall, and access control policies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and access rights.
- Ensure regular data backups and periodically test data restoration procedures.
- Protect company data against malware, ransomware, unauthorized access, and data loss.
- Maintain IT security policies and ensure compliance with company procedures.

5. CCTV, Access Control and Communication Systems

- Monitor and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, recording equipment, and network connectivity.
- Support biometric attendance systems, access control devices, and related software.
- Maintain office telephone systems, IP phones, video conferencing, and communication infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors for installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

6. IT Helpdesk and Team Management

- Lead the IT support team and allocate daily support activities.
- Track and resolve hardware, software, network, ERP, and user-related issues within defined timelines.
- Establish a ticketing or complaint register system for IT support requests.
- Train employees on ERP applications, IT systems, cybersecurity, and best practices.
- Maintain documentation of IT procedures, recurring issues, and solutions.

7. IT Budgeting and Vendor Management

- Prepare annual IT budgets and monitor IT-related expenses.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, networking equipment, and technology upgrades.
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers to obtain cost-effective solutions.
- Manage AMC renewals, software subscriptions, and IT procurement.




- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency through technology.

8. Reporting and Continuous Improvement

- Submit regular IT performance reports to management.
- Monitor system downtime, incident resolution, backup status, and infrastructure availability.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for IT equipment.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitization, and process improvement.
- Ensure business continuity and timely recovery of IT services during system failures.

Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
- Experience in textile manufacturing, spinning mills, or other manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, servers, networking, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience in ERP support, database applications, and MIS reporting.
- Knowledge of data backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, antivirus, and firewall management.
- Experience in CCTV, biometric attendance, access control, and IT asset management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, vendor coordination, and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with textile or manufacturing ERP systems.
- Knowledge of SQL databases, reporting tools, and basic database troubleshooting.
- Exposure to virtualization, cloud services, Microsoft 365, or equivalent business productivity platforms.
- Experience supporting multiple departments or multiple mill locations.
- Knowledge of industrial networking and integration with production systems.

- Reliability of data backup and successful restoration testing.
