We are hiring a Product Development Engineer for a leading consumer products (toys) company based in Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

Experience: 2-3 years

Location: Prabhadevi, Mumbai

Department: Product Development

CTC: 7 - 7.5 LPA

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage technical development of plastic toy products, from concept through production.

- Review and determine the viability of recent products/concepts.

- Develop and review 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for plastic components.

- Oversee tooling development for injection-molded plastic parts in collaboration with overseas suppliers.

- Evaluate prototypes and engineering samples to ensure function, durability, and aesthetic quality.

- Ensure all products comply with applicable toy safety standards (ASTM F963, EN71, CPSIA, etc.).

- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing)



and DFMEA reviews with cross-functional teams.

- Manage project schedules, track milestones, and communicate risks and changes.

- Coordinate with QA/QC to validate products through mechanical and safety testing.

- Support cost engineering by identifying material, tooling, and process optimizations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience in injection molding.

- Knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and tooling.

Working Conditions:

- Occasional travel to manufacturing plants or suppliers may be required.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
