- Craft drinks: Pull espresso shots, steam and texture milk, and prepare pour-overs, drip coffee, and specialty drinks.
- Follow recipes: Adhere to exact measurements, brand standards, and dietary requests for milk or syrup alternatives.
- Dial in equipment: Adjust coffee grinders, espresso doses, and extraction times to keep flavor consistent.
- Greet guests: Welcome customers warmly, take orders accurately, and offer menu or flavor recommendations.
- Build rapport: Remember regular orders and create a friendly, welcoming "third place" atmosphere.
- Resolve issues: Address customer questions, special requests, or order concerns calmly and politely.
- Sanitize stations: Wipe down counters, clean espresso steam wands, and wash utensils throughout the shift.
- Maintain machinery: Empty trash, clean coffee grinders, and report equipment malfunctions.
- Follow safety codes: Comply with local food safety, hygiene, and cross-contamination guidelines.
