About Mumbai BioCluster
Mumbai BioCluster, an initiative of ICT Mumbai Research Foundation, is a not-for-profit organization focused on advancing innovation in biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, and healthcare.
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Project Lead – Biophysics to join our Biophysics / Biopharma R&D; team. The role involves the characterization of biotherapeutics, including peptides, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and oligonucleotides, using advanced biophysical and spectroscopic techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of sponsored projects, including planning, experimentation, documentation, data analysis, reporting, and project closure.
- Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods using techniques such as NMR, Fluorescence, Circular Dichroism (CD), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and light scattering.
- Prepare analytical protocols, methods of analysis, test methods, and technical reports.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and support calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including SOPs, instrument logs, and quality documentation.
- Mentor and train team members in technical procedures and quality practices.
- Contribute to R&D;, scientific publications, conferences, workshops, and outreach activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in biophysics, biopharmaceutical characterization, or analytical research.
- Experience in NMR data acquisition and spectral assignment will be highly desirable.
- Strong experimental, analytical, troubleshooting, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within timelines.
- Excellent scientific documentation, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a quality-driven laboratory environment.
