Job Overview

We are seeking a accurate, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician specializing in Hematology and Biochemistry. In this role, you will be responsible for processing clinical specimens, running automated and manual tests, and ensuring highly accurate diagnostic results. The ideal candidate will possess deep practical knowledge of blood cell morphology, chemical chemical screening assays, and strict laboratory safety protocols.Key Responsibilities & DutiesHematology Operations:

- Sample Analysis: Perform complete blood counts (CBC), differential counts, coagulation profiles (PT/INR, APTT), and blood typing.
- Morphology Assessment: Prepare, stain, and microscopically examine blood smears and bone marrow aspirates to identify cellular abnormalities.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and calibrate automated hematology analyzers and flow cytometers.

Biochemistry Operations:

- Chemical Assays: Run quantitative assays on blood serum, plasma, and body fluids for analytes including glucose, electrolytes, kidney/liver function tests, and lipid profiles.
- Immunoassays: Perform tests for hormones, cardiac markers, vitamins, and specific proteins using automated chemistry and immunoassay systems.
- Reagent Management: Prepare chemical reagents,



controls, and calibrators according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Quality Assurance & Safety:

- Quality Control (QC): Run, monitor, and document daily internal quality controls and participate in external quality assessment schemes (EQAS).
- Troubleshooting: Identify, document, and resolve analytical errors, machine malfunctions, or flags.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to biosafety guidelines, chemical waste disposal regulations, and patient data confidentiality (HIPAA/local data laws).
- Critical Value Reporting: Immediately verify and communicate critical or panic lab values to the ordering physician or nursing unit.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), or equivalent life sciences degree.
- Certification: Valid state or national laboratory council registration/certification where applicable.
- Experience: 4-5 years of clinical laboratory experience, with a proven track record working directly in Hematology and Biochemistry departments.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
