Job Description:
The Technician-Microbiology will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures related to the analysis and testing of microbiological samples. This role involves collecting samples, preparing cultures, conducting tests, and interpreting results in accordance with established protocols. The technician will also maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and assist in research projects as needed. Key Responsibilities:

- Collect and prepare microbiological samples for analysis.
- Conduct microbiological tests on various specimens such as blood, urine, swabs, and other samples.
- Interpret test results and document findings accurately.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety regulations in the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to discuss findings and contribute to patient care decisions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor?s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Relevant certification as a laboratory technician is preferred.
- Previous experience in a microbiology laboratory setting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, NABL).
