Job Description:

The role involves handling GST, Income Tax, TDS, audits, and regulatory filings while supporting strategic tax planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Taxation

· Prepare and file Income Tax returns for the organization in compliance with the Income Tax Act, 1961

· Manage TDS/TCS compliance including calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.)

· Handle advance tax computations and tax provisioning

· Assist in tax assessments, scrutiny, and litigation matters

2. Indirect Taxation (GST)

· Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax regulations

· Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns)

· Reconcile input tax credit (ITC) and ensure accurate utilization

· Manage GST audits and departmental notices

3. Compliance & Reporting

· Maintain statutory records and ensure timely compliance with tax deadlines

· Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits

· Prepare tax reports, reconciliations, and MIS for management review

4. Advisory & Planning

· Support tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities





· Monitor updates in tax laws and assess impact on business operations

· Provide guidance to internal teams on tax implications of transactions

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com); CA/Inter CA preferred

· 5+ years of experience in taxation (corporate or CA firm)

· Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and compliance procedures

· Proficiency in accounting tools like Advance Excel, Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems

· Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting

Preference Industry:

· 5+ years of experience in taxation in Retail, Construction, or Manufacturing accounting.

- · Experience in handling multi-state GST compliance
- · Exposure to tax audits and litigation support
- · Familiarity with e-invoicing and e-way bill systems
