Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused and energetic Restaurant Captain to supervise daily restaurant service and ensure an excellent dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and leadership skills, good knowledge of food and beverage service, and the ability to coordinate effectively with the kitchen and service teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily restaurant service and ensure smooth operations.
- Welcome guests, assist with seating, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure accurate and timely service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and served correctly.
- Assign duties to service staff and monitor their performance.
- Guide, train, and support waiters and other service team members.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and personal grooming.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve service-related issues professionally.
- Ensure tables, service stations, and dining areas are properly set up and maintained.
- Check table arrangements, menus, cutlery, crockery, and service equipment before operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and restaurant service standards.
- Coordinate special requests, reservations, and guest requirements.
- Monitor service quality and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with billing, POS operations, and payment processing when required.
- Report guest feedback, operational issues,



and maintenance requirements to the Restaurant Manager.
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in restaurant or hotel food and beverage service.
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Captain, Senior Waiter, or Team Leader is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid customer service and team coordination abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to handle guest complaints and work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, billing, and restaurant operations.
- Good knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A diploma or certificate in Hotel Management or Hospitality is an advantage.
