Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Backend C# Developer with expertise in .NET development and knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation. The candidate will be responsible for developing reusable software libraries for PLCs, supporting test automation teams, and enabling seamless integration between Festo software and hardware and both Festo and third-party PLC systems.

The ideal candidate should possess strong backend development skills, a sound understanding of industrial automation technologies, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with solution architects, software developers, and test automation teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications and reusable software libraries using C# and .NET.
- Develop software components and libraries for PLC communication, integration, and industrial automation applications.
- Work with Festo software and hardware, ensuring compatibility and reliable integration with Festo and third-party PLCs.
- Support test automation teams in developing, executing, and troubleshooting automated tests for software and hardware solutions.
- Integrate and work with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Allen-Bradley, and other relevant industrial automation systems.
- Collaborate with solution architects to define software architecture, design specifications, and appropriate technical approaches.
- Participate in technical discussions,



code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Develop robust, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented software components.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve technical issues, and deliver solutions.
- Work independently to manage assigned tasks, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 5–7 years of relevant experience in backend software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), software design principles, and reusable software architecture.
- Experience working with PLCs and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with PLC programming environments and related software, such as:
- Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal
- Beckhoff PLCs and TwinCAT
- Allen-Bradley PLCs and associated development tools
- Understanding of PLC communication, industrial protocols, and software-to-hardware integration.
- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and software testing.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), version control, and coding best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration,



and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience developing software libraries, SDKs, APIs, or reusable components.
- Exposure to industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, EtherCAT, PROFINET, or Modbus.
- Experience supporting test automation frameworks and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, automated testing tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience collaborating with solution architects on software design and technical decision-making.
- Previous experience in industrial automation, robotics, motion control, or machine automation.

Role Objective

To develop reliable and reusable PLC software libraries, enable integration across Festo and third-party PLC platforms, and support the testing and validation of Festo software and hardware solutions through effective backend development and cross-functional collaboration.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
