Position: Head - Demand and Supply Planning

Join us as a Head-Demand and Supply Planning at Hilti India, to build a global career. As the Head of Demand and

Supply planning, you will have full ownership of the demand planning, forecasting, sales & operations planning,

Supply planning and inventory management. Collaborating closely with various teams, you’ll be responsible for

enhancing forecast accuracy, product availability, managing inventory and leading a high performing team.

Key Responsibilities & goals:

• Partner with Sales and Marketing to create a sales forecast to steer the Supply Chain to achieve targeted

sales and delivery performance.

• Manage inventory levels to achieve working capital targets.

• Demand forecasting and analysis: Lead the demand planning team in generating accurate demand forecasts

by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, customer insights, and other relevant factors. Utilize

statistical models and forecasting software to support data-driven decision-making.

• Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP;): Run a comprehensive S&OP; process that integrates demand

planning, supply planning, and inventory management. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decisionmaking

to align demand and supply plans, optimize resource allocation,



and ensure operational efficiency.

• Supply Planning: Basis firm demand forecast, run a replenishment process to ensure requisite stock supplies

from source.

• Business strategy alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align demand planning and S&OP;

processes with the overall business strategy. Provide insights and recommendations based on demand

forecasting analysis.

• Manage the flow of materials across various Hilti Locations Unit ensuring that there is an optimization of

stock and service level at all locations.

• Ensure compliance to all legal requirements related to imports.

• Develop strategies for cost control and management.

What are the essential knowledge, experiences and skills you need for this role?

• Master’s degree preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, MBA, or related fields

• Min experience of 8 years, with at least 4 years in Supply Chain Demand and Supply Planning

• Solid understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management principles, and sales and operations

planning (S&OP;) processes.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills working in a rapid-paced commercial environment.

• Experience in developing and implementing strategic plan & vision keeping in mind business objectives.

• Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions based on data analytics.

• Experience in the Lean tools.

• Commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills

• Demonstrated experience managing and developing team.
