Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Understanding of Vehicle proprietary parts (mainly air intake system, propeller shaft, Suspensions, Steering, brakes).

Knowledge of vehicle system parts suppliers and processes for the above-mentioned systems.

• Study and analysis of SOR/drawings for vehicle proprietary components.

• Knowledge of the selection of ideal manufacturing processes based on drawings/tolerances.

• Knowledge of cycle-time estimation/MOST techniques.

• Cost estimation for proprietary parts from drawings.

• Component cost benchmarking.

• Knowledge of target costing/business perspective.

• Coordination with various agencies (Design, Product Planning and Sourcing).

• Knowledge of VAVE.

• Cost reduction and cost improvement in vehicle proprietary components.

• Knowledge of preparing BOM for proprietary parts.

• Standardization of child parts.
