Senior Electronics Design Engineer

The Home Interconnects & Interconnect Controls team is responsible for interconnecting sources and loads across Generac’s product portfolio. We own controls and hardware that tie generators, energy storage, transfer switches, load-management devices, and metering together into a coordinated home energy system. As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will own and drive the board architecture for our interconnect products - from power-conversion, metering, and control architecture through verification and production. This is an ownership role, not a pure execution one: you will set technical direction, make the architecture and component-selection decisions, and partner closely with firmware, mechanical,



manufacturing, and test engineering to bring robust, cost-effective products to market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Own and drive the board architecture - partitioning, interface definition, component selection, and power architecture.

• Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits: AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, power management, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, communications, and embedded control systems.

• Design and validate AC voltage, current, and power measurement circuits, including revenue-grade metering, with attention to accuracy, calibration, and applicable standards.

• Design high-power relay and relay-drive circuits for load switching, including coil drive, snubbing, contact protection, and coordination with embedded control.
