Job summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, Java Script/Type Script, and GenAI-assisted automation engineering using Claude AI. The candidate will lead automation delivery for International Marketplace features, stabilize the existing regression suite, and drive the migration of Playwright test scripts to the InteractAI platform.

The role requires a combination of hands-on coding, automation framework expertise, test strategy, team leadership, and client-facing delivery management. The candidate must be comfortable using Claude AI to accelerate test script development, improve maintainability, troubleshoot failures, and optimize automation workflows.

Key responsibilities

1. GenAI-based automation engineering

- Use Claude AI to generate, enhance, debug, refactor, and optimize automation test scripts using Java Script and Type Script.
- Apply effective prompt engineering to convert business requirements and acceptance criteria into executable automation scenarios.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and adherence to coding standards.
- Identify opportunities to use AI for test design, failure analysis, test maintenance, and automation productivity improvements.

2. Playwright framework development

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks using Java Script/Type Script.
- Implement reusable page objects, fixtures, custom utilities, assertions, test hooks, reporting, and test data management.
- Optimize parallel execution, retries, browser coverage, test isolation, and execution performance.
- Establish standards for coding, code reviews, debugging, and flaky-test prevention.

3. InteractAI migration

- Assess the existing Playwright test inventory and determine migration readiness, complexity, dependencies, and priorities.




- Lead pilot migration and phased migration of existing Playwright scripts to InteractAI.
- Validate migrated scripts for functional equivalence, reliability, and execution results.
- Coordinate the retirement of legacy tests after successful migration and approval.

4. UI, API, and end-to-end testing

- Lead automation of UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios for International Marketplace features.
- Develop test strategies based on approved requirements, business workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure appropriate coverage of positive, negative, boundary, integration, and regression scenarios.
- Coordinate test data preparation, environment readiness, defect triage, and retesting.

5. Regression stabilization and CI/CD

- Analyze and resolve failing, flaky, duplicated, and obsolete regression tests.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using the client's existing tooling.
- Configure or enhance automated execution, reporting, failure diagnostics, and pipeline feedback.
- Monitor regression stability and drive continuous improvement.

6. Test management and reporting

- Manage test cases, execution results, defects, and traceability using JIRA, Test Rail, Zephyr, or Xray, as applicable.
- Track automation coverage, migration progress, execution pass rates, defect trends, and delivery risks.
- Provide regular progress updates and escalate blockers and dependencies.

7. Team and stakeholder leadership

- Lead and mentor QA automation engineers; assign work and review technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, client stakeholders, and internal QE teams.
- Drive estimation, sprint planning, prioritization, delivery tracking, and risk management.
- Prepare runbooks, technical documentation, knowledge-transfer materials,



and transition plans for internal QE ownership.

Mandatory technical skills

- Strong hands-on proficiency in Java Script and Type Script.
- Extensive practical experience with Playwright UI automation and automation framework development.
- Hands-on experience using Claude AI for automation script development, debugging, refactoring, or test design.
- Demonstrated ability to build automation scripts using AI assistance and independently validate the generated code.
- Experience with UI, API, and end-to-end automation testing.
- Experience troubleshooting flaky tests, stabilizing regression suites, and improving automation reliability.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Working experience with CI/CD integration and automated test execution pipelines.
- Proven experience leading a QA or automation team.

Preferred skills

- Experience with InteractAI or a comparable AI-enabled automation platform.
- Experience migrating existing automation suites between frameworks or platforms.
- Experience with API authentication, test data management, cross-browser testing, and debugging complex application workflows.
- Familiarity with Git, code review workflows, and cloud-based test execution.

Experience and leadership expectations

- Suggested experience range: 8-12 years overall, with substantial recent hands-on Playwright automation experience.
- Ability to lead technical delivery while remaining actively involved in coding and troubleshooting.
- Solid client communication, problem-solving, planning, and mentoring skills.

- Existing Playwright test inventory and migration assessment.
