Position Summary:

To help drive this next chapter, we're seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Engineer, Software Engineering, to serve as a technical leader within our Salesforce Customer Experience Engineering organization. This role defines technical strategy, drives architectural decisions, and delivers scalable Salesforce-based solutions that support customer service and field operations. You will partner across engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to modernize customer experience platforms, drive innovation, and ensure engineering excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce expertise, strong architectural leadership, and a passion for leveraging AI and cloud technologies to enhance customer and employee experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

- Serve as a principal technical leader for DIRECTV's enterprise data platforms and engineering ecosystem.
- Establish data architecture standards, engineering best practices, and platform governance frameworks.
- Lead complex technical initiatives that modernize data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and provide thought leadership across the organization.
- Drive engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and operational maturity across data platforms.

Architecture & Solution Design:

- Design and deliver enterprise-scale Salesforce Service Cloud solutions.
- Lead platform integration strategies across Salesforce and enterprise systems.
- Establish governance standards for application architecture, code quality, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Operations, and Enterprise Technology teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Engineering Excellence & Delivery:

- Partner with engineering teams to implement scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.




- Drive Agile engineering practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion Dev Ops automation, release management, and deployment governance.
- Support platform roadmap planning and strategic technology investments

AI & Innovation:

- Drive adoption of Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve agent productivity and customer experiences.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend future-state capabilities that support business growth.
- Promote innovation and experimentation while maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

- 10-12 years of progressive software engineering experience.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise Salesforce solutions.
- Robust technical leadership and architecture experience within large-scale environments.
- Experience influencing technical strategy and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
