Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to design, build,

and maintain robust test automation frameworks. You will work closely with software and hardware

engineering teams to automate testing for up-to-date web applications and embedded/hardware-

connected devices.

Key Responsibilities

Framework Development: Design, develop, and scale end-to-end test automation frameworks

from scratch using Python along with Pytest and/or Robot Framework.

Web & UI Testing: Implement UI and functional automation tests using Playwright for web-based

or companion device interfaces.

Embedded Testing: Build and execute test suites for embedded systems, hardware-in-the-loop

(HIL) environments, or connected device firmware/software interactions.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous

deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Git Hub Actions).

API & System Testing: Create and execute automated API and integration tests to validate

microservices, backend services,



and device communication protocols.

Defect Management: Analyze test execution logs and failure reports, log and track bugs, and

collaborate with developers to root-cause issues.

Mentorship & Process: Drive QA best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior QA or

automation engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python scripting and software development

principles.

Automation Frameworks: Expertise in Pytest and/or Robot Framework.

Web Automation: Hands-on experience with Playwright for modern web UI testing.

Embedded/Device Exposure: Practical exposure to testing embedded devices, hardware

interfaces, IoT, or firmware validation workflows.

Version Control & Dev Ops: Proficiency with Git, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipeline

integration.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities.
