ROLE SUMMARY
The Scraper Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web data extraction solutions for competitor
and market intelligence. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Python and Scrapy, along with the ability to
select the most suitable extraction approach based on the target website. Scrapy/direct HTTP extraction should be
used where appropriate, while Selenium or Playwright should be used for JavaScript-heavy, dynamically rendered,
or interaction-dependent websites where HTTP-based extraction is not sufficient. The engineer will build reliable and
maintainable scrapers, validate extracted data, troubleshoot website changes and blocking issues, and ensure output
meets defined data quality standards.
