Your Team Responsibilities
The DevOps Platform Engineering team builds and runs the tooling, platforms and workflows that every engineering team at MSCI uses to deliver software. We operate as a software engineering team whose customers are other engineers — we build internal products, APIs, automation and integrations, and we run them as products with roadmaps, users and service commitments.
We own and maintain several Developer tools in MSCI's developer toolchain end to end. That covers the tools engineers work in every day, including GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, SonarQube and Cursor, as well as the platforms we build and run ourselves such as our Backstage-based internal developer portal. Ownership here means we select, integrate, secure, operate and continuously improve these services, and we are accountable for their availability, and adoption across the firm.
Alongside the tools, we enable standardisation across the software development lifecycle. We define the golden paths, reusable CI/CD workflows, platform abstractions,
engineering standards and governance models that product and engineering teams adopt so they can move quickly without re-solving the same problems.
As part of the MSCI Core DevOps Engineering team, you will help shape where software delivery and developer enablement go next across the organisation.
