About the Role

Are you passionate about Tamil cinema and curious about what makes a film commercially successful?

We are looking for a Film Business Intelligence Analyst to research the Tamil film industry, analyse box office performance, understand theatrical market trends and provide valuable insights to support film production and business decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who loves cinema and wants to understand the business behind the big screen.

Key Responsibilities

• Box Office Analysis: Track and analyse theatrical collections, film performance and commercial success.
• Theatrical Market Research: Study cinema theatres, screen counts, occupancy trends and regional market performance across Tamil Nadu.
• Audience & Industry Insights: Research audience preferences, genre trends, upcoming releases and changing viewing patterns.
• Film Performance Studies: Identify factors contributing to a film’s success or failure,



including content, marketing, release strategy and competition.
• Marketing & Distribution Research: Analyse promotional campaigns, release strategies and theatrical distribution trends.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly industry intelligence reports, film performance reviews and actionable business insights.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication or Mass Communication.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of Tamil cinema, actors, directors, production houses and theatrical markets.
• Genuine interest in box office collections, film economics and audience behaviour.
• Valuable analytical, research and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Robust Tamil communication skills and working proficiency in English.
